Programme Director, Distribution Systems - Financial Services

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Director to lead the strategic development and execution of our distribution systems platforms. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of our distribution systems, from strategic planning and roadmap development to implementation, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical foundation, a proven track record of project and program delivery, and a product-driven mindset. They will be a visionary leader, capable of inspiring and guiding a team of talented professionals while collaborating effectively with various stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and champion the long-term vision and strategy for our distribution systems platforms, aligning with overall business objectives and market trends.

Program Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent projects within the distribution systems program, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion.

Product Ownership: Cultivate a product-driven approach, understanding the needs of our distribution channels and translating them into innovative solutions that enhance their experience and drive business growth.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including sales, marketing, operations, technology, and compliance, to ensure alignment and buy-in on program initiatives.

Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of project managers, business analysts, and technical specialists.

Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring service level agreements are met and value is delivered.

Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for the distribution systems program, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.

Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to the program, developing contingency plans as needed.

Technology Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of current and emerging technologies relevant to distribution systems, including CRM, API integration, mobile platforms, and data analytics.

Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, enhance system performance, and improve the overall efficiency of the distribution systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in program management, with a significant portion of that experience focused on distribution systems within the financial services industry.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, large-scale projects and programs.
• Strong technical foundation and understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Experience managing budgets and vendors.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements within the financial services industry.
